The Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) has completed negotiations with trade unions GMB and Unite the Union and reached agreement on a 2.5% increase in all pay rates, which will take effect from Monday 28 June 2021.
Non‐taxable elements of pay, such as travel and subsistence allowances, will also increase, and the guidance on bereavement leave has been updated encouraging employers to now grant up to five days paid leave.
Members of the National Association of Shopfitters can access the full rates from Downloads section of the Members’ Area. The rates should be read in conjunction with the CIJC 2018 Working Rule Agreement and the Holiday Entitlement 2021 – which are also available in the same location.
The NAS’ Pay and Reward Survey 2021 is open until Wednesday, 30 June 2021. Once completed, the NAS will report on actual rates of pay in the sector and what impact the CIJC negotiations could have.
