Mental Health is just as important as physical health. Ahead of World Mental Health Day, the NAS:
- has signed the Building Mental Health charter, making a commitment to improving mental health in the industry
- welcomed Blue Lobster Therapy as our first Approved Training Provider for mental health, resilience, and stress awareness training
- introduced Wider Wallet to our members – including well-being support through Wider Fitness and the Everyday Advice Line
- has a qualified mental health first-aider at NAS House
- worked closely with the CITB to:
- remind levy-paying NAS Members they can draw down grants for the following courses: Mental Health Awareness / Mental Health First Aid / Mental Health First Aid Champion
- promote the £1 million CITB are investing in Mental Health First Aid Instructor training (construction based) so that individual CITB levy payers can complete these courses and then offer Mental Health First Aid training to others within the sector. Places for these courses are fully funded.
